Umbilical Cord (Odis)

For many Native American cultures, the umbilical cord is more than a physical tie—it's a lifelong spiritual connection. Kept in a medicine pouch and sometimes placed on a cradle board, it reminds the child to stay connected to their mother and to treat her—and Mother Earth—with kindness and respect.
